We are fully committed to good product design and engineering. That means we love spending hours, days, years, exploring the best way to provide low-cost, scaleable, useful products for the poor in rural areas of developing countries.
We are specialized in energy-efficient products. Our first big thing was a range of very efficient, very user-friendly, biomass-fuelled stoves. We greatly reduced pollution, undoubtedly improving the health and living condition of many people, principally the women and children who gather cowdung and wood and do the cooking. We dramatically increase the efficiency of wood combustion, and so reduce deforestation and time spent in gathering fuel.
